Schooltime Reflections – Feelings 202 illustrates that the one constant which affects every aspect of our lives and is the heart of life itself – is our FEELINGS. The book is about my feelings and emotions as I was growing up as a student and later as a teacher in the public schools of Peekskill, New York.
Recognizing that feelings begin at birth, my book deals with a perception and an awareness of a child’s emotional needs, noting each child’s uniqueness and helping to build his or her self-esteem. It also points out the importance of giving proper credit and encouragement, using holistic and somewhat humorous approaches in certain situations, and realizing that feelings should be considered in making career choices. MARGARET (MARGIE) DUNAJSKI HARDE was born and raised in Peekskill, New York, where she attended the public schools and has resided there for most of her life.
She is a graduate of SUNY Albany where she received her Bachelors Degree in Education and, through an innovative teacher internship program, a Master of Arts Degree in Education.
